Quarterly Outstanding Public Service: Quinn Bennion

Quinn Bennion serves as the Vernal City Manager since July 2017. He returned to his hometown community where he was born and raised. He holds fond memories growing up in Vernal – specifically Dry Fork Canyon. Quinn graduated from Uintah High School, then attended Utah State University in civil engineering and then graduate school at University of Kansas.
Educational and career opportunities led him and his family to the Kansas City metro area, where he worked as City Manager for two cities for 20 years. Quinn is married to Heidi and they have four children. He enjoys playing tennis with his daughter, serving others and escape rooms.
One of his motives in returning to Vernal was to give back to his community that formed his character and inspired potential. He works alongside others to build, promote and better his hometown and the Uintah Basin. He advocates for rural Utah at every opportunity.
Quinn and his wife, Heidi, are involved in Hotel Vernal Haunt committee, Freedom Fest committee and Uintah Schools Education Foundation. Quinn serves on the Board of the Charitable Friends of Ashley Valley, USU Uintah Basin Entrepreneur Center Founder, Uintech Committee, Holly Days Committee, Riverfest Committee, DinoSaur Days Committee, Downtown Vernal Revitalization Committee, Dino Trail Committee, County Economic Development Board and is a Dinah-Mite ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce.
Quinn accepts this recognition with the acknowledged that teamwork is the key to community success. Rarely are achievements reached or goals accomplished with one person working in isolation. It involves a team effort. Quinn is part of a team of community members – those in the room today plus many others - that encourage success in our community.
He thanks all those who donate and give to our community in so many ways.
The Public Relations Committee of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce present this Quarterly Outstanding Public Service Award to Quinn Bennion for his many contributions and commitment to our community.
