Les & Monica Farnsworth
Les grew up in Gusher, graduating from Union High School in 1986. Monica grew up in Upalco, graduating from Altamont High School in 1987. They were married in June,1988.
Les and Monica reside in Jensen, where they have lived for 26 years. They are the parents of 4 children and have been blessed with 16 grand kids, one more being added soon. Family is everything to them.
They own and operate Outlaw Trail RV Park and love working with the cattle and land on their Hidden Acres Farm with their Family.
Monica has worked on the family farm most of her life, working with her Dad and siblings. She is excited to continue the farming tradition, to preserve their Family Legacy and way of life. She has also worked as a waitress and at our local IFA. She owned and operated a café in Altamont and a convenience store/cafe in Jensen. Her biggest accomplishment is being a Mom and a Cancer survivor of 27 years.
Les has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 30 years, fifteen of those years were spent in management positions. He has been a Production Foreman, a consultant and was the District Manager for Petroglyph Operating.
They love being outdoors, enjoy fishing, camping, farming, and mostly spending time with their family. They believe in good old fashioned hard work and the “old school” way of life and have a great passion for helping others when and where possible.
Les and Monica have been involved in numerous community activities. Some of which are: The Jensen Pumpkin Festival, Hospitality Committee, the Chamber Legislative Committee, the Uintah County GOP committee, members of the Utah Citizens for the Constitution and Community Action Group and serving on the cemetery board for Jensen and Gusher Cemeteries. They have volunteered to help with several other community events including Vernal Holly Days and Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo.
Les and Monica say they love to contribute to our community and feel very Blessed to be part of the Uintah Basin. We are very grateful to be Americans and are proud of our Heritage.
